Tour Overview
Experience Moab’s best river rafting on our half day Colorado River trip. Your group will enjoy air-conditioned transportation along the scenic Highway 128, your professional guide, and a rafting experience to remember! This half-day rafting trip is a mild-to-moderate whitewater experience with plenty of tranquil float time. Relax and simply gaze at the astounding beauty of canyon country while your guide rows you down the Colorado River, or boost your group activity level by paddling along. Trips average 2 ½ – 2 ¾ hours on the water (total trip time 4 – 4 ½ hours) along the famous Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River just outside of Moab.
This section of the Fisher Towers run is characterized by wide-open desert vistas and mesas, capped off by a stunning view of the LaSal Mountains in the distance. Enjoy four named rapids ranging from Class I – Class III, depending on the season.
SELECT A HALF-DAY “TAG ALONG” KAYAK TOUR OPTION:
Join a guided half-day rafting group and tag along in your own inflatable kayak. Paddle 7 miles on the Colorado River under the oversight and direction of a professional guide, who will be in a raft with other new friends. Follow along through flat water, easy-going riffles, and mild-to-moderate whitewater depending on seasonal flows. This is a popular option with folks looking for some fun splash and a little freedom to paddle on their own. Often times, travel groups will elect to book some folks in the raft and some in kayaks! Choose from a solo inflatable kayak or paddle together with a pal in a tandem. Wild West Voyages provides transportation, inflatable kayak, Coastguard-approved PFD, helmet, paddle, preliminary instruction, and guide oversight from a raft. We offer this option during lower to mid water levels. Availability dates may vary depending on seasonal flows.
Perfect for:
- 1-3 paddlers looking for logistics and guidance in a shared group setting
- Folks wanting to experience the splash and adventure level of paddling mild to moderate rapids
- Groups with mixed adventure goals wanting to enjoy the same trip (some want to raft, others want to kayak)
- 2025: Available March – early May, early July – October.
- $125 per person.
- Due to the physical nature of paddling a kayak on a river, paddler minimum age is10; paddlers10-12 years of age must paddle in a tandem kayak with an adult.
NOTE:
- This option is available on existing raft trips only. When booking online, if Tag Along kayaking unavailable, please call 435-355-0776 to review options.
