RIVER ACCESS POINTS

Gold Bar (small dirt ramp for smaller vessels, camping) – 10 miles downriver on Potash Road – allow 25 minutes from town

Highway Bridge/Moab Ramp – park across the bridge at Lyons Hub for bathrooms- mile 0 on HWY 128 (River Road)

Big Bend (small vessel access, no ramp) – mile 7 on River Road – allow 15 minutes

Take Out Beach/Ramp – mile 10 on River Road – allow 20 minutes

Sandy Beach (small vessel access, no ramp) – mile 12 on River Road – allow 25 minutes

Rocky Rapid (ramp with parking) – mile 16.5 on River Road – allow 35 minutes

Onion Creek (two small ramps with camping) – mile 21 on River Road – allow 45 minutes

Hittle Bottom (ramp with camping) – mile 23 on River Road – allow 45 minutes

Dewey Bridge (ramp with camping) – mile 30 on River Road – allow 60 minutes

More rapids: Between Onion Creek and Big Bend

More flat water: Dewey Bridge to Hittle Bottom or Onion Creek, Big Bend to Gold Bar

Always wear your PFD (personal flotation device) and stay hydrated. If going out on your own, be informed about what to expect on a given stretch of river and make sure your fitness and skill level are commensurate with the water at that level in that area.
